Chapter 2: Questions Answered

The next day, Amy woke up at 11 o' clock. She went up stairs to check if Shadow was still asleep. He was, so Amy decided to let him sleep a little bit. "Maybe I should let him sleep for a little while. Falling from the atmosphere should've been a hard task. I think he's not in the mood for answering questions." She then walked outside and suddenly she heard someone's voice. "Where am I?" said Shadow pulling himself up. "You're in my house; and no, no don't stand up you're very weak." said Amy. "I already noticed it. What happened to me? Why am I here? Where's the faker? Where are Tails, Eggman, Rouge and Knuckles? Where are they huh? What happened to the biolizard? What happ-", he said when Amy interrupted, "First of all, calm down I will answer all those questions as soon as you get better" "I'm ok look- Aww!" he screamed as he tried to move his body. "Told you, you need some rest. While you rest, I'll call the doctor to check you up ok? Just stay there and don't move," she said, grabbing the phone. Minutes later, the doctor arrived and checked Shadow. Then he gave Amy some instructions, "You have to give him these medicines every 4 hours, and then, you need to give him one of these every day before he goes to sleep, understand?" "Yeah" Amy answered. Then the Doctor left and Amy returned to Shadow's bedroom- it was actually hers-, she sat next to him. "How are you feeling?" Amy said trying to start a conversation "Better, thanks for asking" Shadow said. "And, um, may I ask you a question?" "Yeah sure" Shadow answered. "Well, how come it took a year to you to get into Earth?" said Amy "Well, I don't know, that's very strange huh?" responded Shadow " Yeah" said Amy "Well, now its my turn to ask questions. First of all, how did I get here?" Shadow said. "Ok, it was midnight, I was staring at the sky wondering why…" She could've finished her sentence but Shadow interrupted " Hey, hold up a second, I want to know how did I get here not what were you wondering", he said rudely "Hey, if you're gonna be that rude I will not take it from you and I will just get out of here and not answer your questions, ok?" said Amy angrily. She would have grabbed anything near her and hit him, but she remembered his critical condition. "Ok, Amy I am sorry," said Shadow. "Ok, then I saw a strange light falling from the sky and it fell into my garage" Amy continued, "I went down to see what it was and there is where I found you." "Oh so then you brought me here and took care of me until I woke up" said Shadow. "Yeah I did," answered Amy. "But, why did you do that if I hate Sonic and you love him. If I were you I would let myself die in that hole." Said Shadow. Then Amy, speechless, answered," Well, I-I, I mean I like helping people and you don't and I wouldn't let you die there I mean if I were you and you were me, you wouldn't let me die would you?" "I guess you're right", said Shadow. "And why aren't you living with Sonic, I thought he was your boyfriend", he said trying to keep up with the conversation. "I wish he was", said Amy sadly "Oh so he's not" said Shadow "No he is not, I think he will never be, I think he even hates me, I think everybody hates me, I don't know why maybe is because I'm ugly or something" said Amy with tears in her eyes. Then Shadow stood up and washed her tears away and then said " Well, you know, I don't hate you and you're not ugly you are kinda" he took a deep breath and said; "you're kinda attractive". Amy felt strange, nobody ever told her something like that "You really think so?" said Amy happily "Yeah I guess" said Shadow. He really thought so, but Amy couldn't believe it, so they just stand there and looked at each other.
