Chapter 7: Meeting a rival

The next day the day, the day was quite normal for Shadow and Amy. Amy invited Knuckles and Rouge to come over and have lunch, she also had invited Sonic and Tails but they had other plans in mind. I'm ok living with you I'm even more comfortable I don't like living alone and I don't…" Then there was a knock on the door. It was Knuckles, Rouge and an unknown beautiful girl with long red hair and purple eyes named Melanie. It was noticeable that she was Knuckles' sister due to their similarity. She had never seen such an attractive hedgehog before and she just stared at him. Then Amy noticed this and said "Hello?" "Oh yeah, sorry" she just walked in and said "Nice place you got here" "Thanks" said Amy in a tone that everybody noticed she was jealous. As shadow entered the living room, he came near Knuckles and Rouge to say hi to them and then he noticed Melanie "HI" he said "Oh Hi" she said "What's your name" he said "Um my name? Oh yeah my name" she had forgotten her name just after looking at Shadow's red eyes and answered "yeah my name is Melanie, nice to meet you" "Nice to meet you too, my name is Shadow the hedgehog but you can call me Shadow." Then everybody went to the kitchen everybody sat down. Knuckles was between Rouge and her sister, Amy was between Rouge and Shadow, and Melanie was between Shadow and Knuckles. Melanie didn't stop staring at Shadow. Amy, noticing this grabbed Shadow's hand and said "Shadow, I love you" She was actually trying to make Melanie realize that Shadow was his boyfriend. Then Melanie did realize that Amy was Shadow's girlfriend so she stopped staring at him. At night when the reunion was over Knuckles, Rouge and Melanie walked outside and headed toward Knuckles' Audi TT and before Knuckles could put a foot inside the car, he noticed that Melanie was lying on the floor. "Melanie!" he shouted heading toward her unconscious sister "Maybe we should get her upstairs" Shadow suggested "Yeah that's the best thing we can do right now" said Knuckles "Let me carry her upstairs" Shadow said "Ok but hurry up!" shouted Rouge. When they got upstairs Amy saw Shadow carrying Melanie. She did notice that she was unconscious but it didn't stop her from being jealous. Just as soon as Shadow entered the living room he placed Melanie on the couch and checked if she was still alive. She was and then Shadow said "Maybe she should stay here and you two should go home I'll take her home as soon as she wakes up". Shadow had just gotten a new Ferrari the day before a something that Amy didn't know so that made her be more jealous. Knuckles accepted the suggestion and returned home with Rouge in his Audi TT. As soon as they left, Amy said, "What is this all about? Why are you letting that girl stay in my house? Especially when she loves you!" "What are you talking about I'm just trying to help and she doesn't love me!" said Shadow nervously "Yeah and what do you call it when someone keeps staring at you the whole day!" said Amy jealously. "Hey wait a second if she likes me so what? I don't like her and that's what matters! You know that I love you!" said Shadow "Oh so then why are you so close to her?" she said "Ok, you know what? I'm not going to argue the whole night with you, if you notice, this poor creature is dieing and I'm not letting her die, so if you're not ok with it I'm leaving then" Shadow said. He had already bought a big house for them to live and he had already bought a car too. So he was willing to take her there if Amy kept up with her jealousy. "No Shadow don't go please!" said Amy almost kneeling. "No Amy I will not take it from you I think it would be better for you and for me also for Melanie so bye Amy and maybe I'll come and visit you. But remember, I love you Amy Rose" he said. Then he hurried to his brand new black colored-Ferrari "Shadow don't go! Don't go!" Amy shouted; her eyes filled with tears.
