Chapter 10: The Proposal

It was 6 o'clock in the afternoon and shadow just sat there and thought about what he was about to do at 8 o'clock while Melanie was resting in Shadow's bedroom. Suddenly somebody knocked the door, "Jaime!" Shadow shouted, "Please answer the door for me"(Jaime was Shadow's servant) Then, Shadow noticed that the person on the door was Amy, then, as quickly as possible; he stood up and said "Amy! What the heck are you doing here?" "Shadow, please forgive me! I love you and you love me remember?" she said getting closer to shadow. Shadow was about to hug her but then, he remembered about Melanie and turn around facing the wall "Shadow, why do you reject me? Why? Do you still love me?" she said; Shadow just stood there and responded "No, I-I don't love you anymore, everything I said to you was a lie. Now I love Me-Melanie" he lied. Amy just stood there and waited for him to tell her that it was just a lie, but he didn't. "But, why did you lied to me? Why tell me why!!!!!!" she cried "I just wanted to-to play with you that's all I don't love you" he lied again "and please don't be so pathetic and stand up" "Sha-dow? Why do you make me suffer? Why?" she cried "BECAUSE I WANT TO! I LIKE MAKING PEOPLE SUFFER! So now GET THE… OUT OF HERE!" he shouted, still lying "Ok, I'm going but I still love you!" she then ran away crying like she had never cried before. Shadow was about to go and ran after her and tell her that it was just a lie; he was so repentant of what he just did that he just fell onto the couch next to him and a tears came out of his eyes.

It was 8 o'clock already, and Melanie was getting ready for her date with Shadow. Knuckles told Shadow where to take her since he knew everything about her (She was his sister duh!) "Are you ready Melanie?" Shadow asked "Yeah I'm coming!" she said cheerfully. Shadow was admiring her while she slowly got down the stairs. Wow she's beautiful he thought. She was wearing a long, red nightdress, which combined with her long red hair. "Ok, let's go" Shadow said. They headed up to the car; this time they were going in the BMW z4 because Melanie liked it more than the Ferrari. Then, they arrived to a very fancy restaurant-which Melanie loved- and sat on a table Shadow had reserved before. "So, why did you wanted me to go out with you?" said Melanie "Because I want to talk to you" said shadow coldly "Well, so go ahead" she said "Melanie, you know I've been noticing that always when I'm near you, you get nervous, also you're always staring at me, and I think that maybe you…" he said "Maybe I what?" she said "Well, I think you love me" he said. After hearing that phrase, Melanie started to blush "Well, I-I Well, I mean" she was speechless, noticing this, Shadow said "And, you know, I think I love you too" he lied "so do you want to be my girlfriend? " Melanie was still speechless and then said "Yes, Shadow yes, I want to be your girlfriend"
