Chapter 11: Rouge finds out

Amy was so hurt that she cried all the way home. She had just arrived home when Rouge arrived as well. After noticing that Amy was swimming in tears Rouge ran after her. "Amy! What happened? Why are you crying so much?" Rouge asked "Is Shadow, he told me that he doesn't love me anymore! That he loves that equidna girl and he said that he just wanted to make me suffer!!!!!!" she cried so loudly that even the neighbors could hear her. "Oh. My god! I cannot believe he said that!" She knew that something weird was going on so she decided to investigate.

The next day, Rouge decided to invite Shadow to her and Knuckles' house. "Ok, I'll be there at 3 o'clock" Shadow said to Rouge.

At 3 o'clock Shadow arrived to Knuckles' house accompanied by Melanie. Then, Rouge thought that maybe Melanie was threatening Shadow or something, but Shadow, she thought, is strong enough to not let anybody threaten him; something really weird was going on. "Shadow, could I talk to you outside?" said Knuckles "Ok" Shadow answered. Then they both got outside and started talking. Rouge, however, followed them carefully; her purpose was to hear every single word they said. "Well, Shadow, what did you do last night?" said Knuckles "I did what I needed to do: ask Melanie to be my girlfriend. Then Rouge thought for a moment that Knuckles was the one that wanted Shadow to be Melanie's boyfriend; but the question was: WHY? Then she stopped thinking and heard the rest of the conversation. "Shadow, you really don't have to do this you know," said Knuckles "I know, but I tell you, I have to make her happy she is about to die!" AHA! Rouge finally found out what she wanted to find out! That was all! Shadow just wanted to make Melanie happy, but she still had another question so she showed up in front of Shadow. "Why do you mean she is about to die?" said Rouge "Rouge? What are you doing here?" asked Knuckles "It doesn't matter and now the two of you will explain everything to me. First of all what did you meant when you said that Melanie is about to die? And why are you making Amy suffer?! Huh?" Rouge asked Shadow. Shadow then explained everything to Rouge and told her not to tell anything to Amy. When everything was clear everybody went back inside but for their surprise, Melanie wasn't there.
