Chapter 13: A Tragical Night

After they got inside, they searched the whole house looking for her but she wasn't there, then they found a note right behind the door:

We've got your girlfriend! If you want her back meet me at ARK in 1 day from the moment you read this letter. Hurry up! Or else she'll die!! Ha, ha, ha!

G.U.N

"Those G.U.N. creeps again! When are they leaving me alone? I'm not waiting until 1 day! Hell no! I'm going out there and kick their butts!" said Shadow angrily. "No! Shadow wait!" said Rouge holding his arm to keep him from running away "we'll wait until tomorrow and then we'll get into action"

The next day, Shadow called Tails if he could get them to ARK and he agreed. "Hey Shadow, you'll need some help, I'll come and help you" said Sonic "Thanks faker, but I don't need any help" said Shadow "Of course we do! C'mon Sonic you'll come with us!" said Rouge. Then, once they were all in the spaceship they started their rescuing journey.

Once in ARK, Shadow walked in ahead of everyone and just found a dark room in front of him. Suddenly, they heard a sinister laugh: it was a gun agent and he was holding Melanie with a gun pointing her forehead but she wasn't neither crying nor screaming though, it looked like she was unconscious, or even dead. Shadow then walked up and tried to get closer to the G.U.N. agent. When he was getting closer, he felt immobile; he felt that he couldn't move not even one muscle.

(Shadow's POV)

There I was, standing like a fool in front of that poor and ill equidna who loved me so much. Even though I didn't love her, I knew that I had to save her and I couldn't bear to lose her. I hate this feeling: the feeling of weakness. Then I saw that the G.U.N. Agent charged his gun and aimed at me. I knew this was the end I knew that in any moment, that creep would shoot his gun, and kill me, then it all would be over, and I would reunite with Maria, my Mari… What the…? Suddenly, I saw that the G.U.N. agent accidentally let go Melanie. He was about to shoot at me when Melanie tried to save me and she placed herself in front of me and… MELANIE! I shouted. The G.U.N. agent shoot his gun and he didn't shoot me, he shoot Melanie! I ran after her to see if she was still alive. I didn't believe it though, due to her illness, but anyway, she was still alive, barely, but still alive. Everybody ran after where I was with Melanie, everybody tried to help, even Amy. Sonic and me ran after the G.U.N. agent to try and get him while the others tried to transport Melanie to the nearest hospital no matter in which country, but the nearest hospital. Sonic and me successfully eliminated the G.U.N. agent and ran back to the spaceship at the speed of light.
