Chapter 13: The beginning of the Tragedy

The spaceship just started falling as fast as possible. "Where going to fall exactly in Mexico City" Tails said after figuring out where the spaceship was going to fall. After falling into Mexico City, they headed toward the nearest hospital. "Please! Is an emergency!" cried Rouge in front of the reception of the hospital. Then the paramedics arrived and transported the barely-alive body to the operating room.

Six hours later, the doctor arrived. "May I speak to the family of Melanie" the doctor said "Yeah we're all her family," said Rouge and Knuckles together "Well, I'm sorry to tell you this, but we couldn't do anything. She is in critical state and due to her illness…"said the doctor sadly "she will only resist just a few minutes more, so you can go ahead and said good-bye" Then, Knuckles started crying over Rouge's chest and then said "I'll go first" "Ok, go ahead" said the doctor.

"Oh, my sister, my little sister" said Knuckles, his eyes full of tears "Knuckles, please call everybody else, I need to talk to Shadow and Amy, please Knuckles" said Melanie with a voice that could barely be heard "Ok, I'll do it" Knuckles said. Then he went out side and advised the others to come in. Shadow, Amy, Tails, Sonic, Knuckles and Rouge all entered the room. "Shadow, A-Amy please come here," said Melanie, Shadow and Amy obeyed. "Shadow, first of all, thanks for trying to make me happy, now I know all the truth I know that you never loved me and what you were doing was only to make me feel happy in my last months of living…" "But how did you?" Shadow interrupted "Shh! It doesn't matter right now, now Amy please forgive Shadow for everything he told you, his love for you really is pure and sincere please forgive him" Then Amy nodded and looked at Melanie, with tears in her eyes as well. "Shadow, Amy give me your hands." Melanie then put their hands together and said, "Shadow, please make Amy feel as happy as you made me please take care of her and you, Amy, do the same, now its my time to go, my mission here is fulfilled, now, bye Knuckles, my big brother, bye Rouge, bye Sonic, bye Tails, bye Amy and bye Shadow." There, those were her last words, now she was resting, in a better place.
