Shadow has powerups in each level that are required to clear all of his missions.

»Radical Highway: Flame Ring
Needed: Light Shoes
Purpose: Allows Shadow to destroy metal crates.
Near the start of the level. After you hit the secong GUN robot, jump on the spring behind it. You will land on the road with planes dropping bombs overhead. Instead of running forward, run backwards and there will be a giant cylinder to somersault under. Somersault under, where Omochao will be waiting. Light dash across the rings to reach a platform where the Flame Ring is waiting. Afterwards you will need to break some steel crates using the flame somersault in order to find the switch that enables the rocket which will take you back into the level.

»White Jungle: Light Shoes
Needed: Nothing
Purpose: Allows Shadow to dash across rows of rings.
In the middle of the level, you will land on a platform with a GUN robot and a spiked GUN bot. You will see a line of rings stemming from the platform and some wooden crates to the right. Break the crates, drop down the hole, and get the Light Shoes. Once you have them, there will be a row of rings tot light dash across, then continue the level as usual. Required to beat the level.

»Sky Rail: Ancient Light
Needed: Nothing
Purpose: Allows Shadow to destroy multiple enemies at once.
At the start of the level, make your way over to the first rocket but don't take it. Instead, homing attack the floating GUN bot and then jump over to the platform with the first chao box. Walk to the very edge of the platform near the wall and a row of floating GUN bots will appear. Homing attack them one by one until you reach a final bot with a spring on its back. It will take you to the Ancient Light. After you get it, charge up a Light attack and keep pressing forward as you demolish the row of floating bots in front of you. Then continue the level as usual.

»Final Chase: Mystic Melody
Needed: Nothing
Purpose: Allows Shadow to open secret paths when played at Melody altars to locate lost chao.
You will run into the Mystic Melody while going through the level. Eventually you will see a gravity pipe with an electric field around it. Jump above the electric field and run up the pipe to reach a platform at the top with the Mystic Melody. Use it at the Melody altar and jump into the light that appears to continue with the level.
